SPECIALTIES

OCD

As a psychologist specializing in evidence-based treatments for anxiety and OCD, my therapeutic approach centers on working collaboratively with patients of all ages. My treatment methodology primarily employs cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), teaching patients practical strategies to manage anxiety and OCD symptoms while gradually approaching challenging situations. When appropriate, I incorporate other evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to create a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to each individual's unique needs. When working with kids and teens, I also provide parent coaching to help families develop supportive strategies for managing these conditions at home.

MY APPROACH

  • Nationally recognized expert in anxiety, including a specialization in working with families of anxious children, teenagers, and young adults

  • Previous experience as a Staff Psychologist at Massachusetts General Hospital in the Child CBT and Gender Identity Programs, and as an Instructor at Harvard Medical School

  • Professional training at Temple University, and Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins School of Medicine

  • Experienced Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) provider, including specializations in ERP, exposure-based therapies, and parent coaching

MY EXPERIENCE

I know that the distress related to living with anxiety and OCD can be significant, and the tools that CBT offer can be extremely effective in reducing that stress. I find it very rewarding to work with patients of all ages to help them build lasting skills to pursue the life they want to be living.
